Since this was the second time I decided to go natural I wanted to try something different. When I was natural before I was jet black at one point and then a dark brown at one point. This time around I wanted my curls to pop and stand out so I decided to get my hair dyed. My dye was/is permanent. I went to the salon and had my hair bleached. Yes I am aware that bleaching is not good for your hair but it also depends on well you take care of your hair. I know my hair and how dark my natural hair is, I have to bleach in order to achieve the color I want. When you are natural you have to find what works for you as far as color and manageability. Back at it Again

I was sitting at work on August 15, 2011 and was a little disgusted with my hair. I was once again tired of running back and forth to the barber shop and salon. So I said "why not try this natural thing again".

It was just a bad hair day for me. When my hair is messed up everything seems out if place. When I decides to go natural again, of course I have those doubting me because I didn't stick with it last time. Aye sometimes you have to do what's best for you! And that's what I'm doing.

When I Was Natural Before

Before getting into what my hair looks like now I wanted to first post some pictures of my hair when I was natural before.




This picture was when I first decided to go natural. Tired of getting hair cuts every other week.




Initially my hair was wavy. Luckily it was summer so all I did was put wrap foam in my hair and tie a mesh wrap around it til it dried.




In this pic I still had relaxer on the ends that I needed to cut off.




I love my hair scarfs. Didint really like it without the scarf.

An Introduction...

Hi! My name is Brandi, not new to blogging at all but usually don't stick with it. I am in a different mind state now so sometimes there are things that just need to be said. The majority of the blog is going to be about my hair and its journey through the second attempt of going natural. Why didn't I stick with it the first time you ask? I'm not quite sure, I change my hair often and thought I wanted to wear a short cut. I wore the short cut for a while but running back and forth to the salon or barber shop was getting old quick. It also happened that the weather in North Carolina was out of control for the summer and sweating in my head and wanting to work out was not the best for short hair, so I began my process of letting it go back natural.

This is what my hair looked like natural before I decide to relax and wear a short cut. To look back on this picture I cant wait until I can get back to this length. (April 2011)

This is what I decided to wear instead of my natural hair. I did love the cut but it was too time consuming and the season just wasnt right for it at all. So I went back to my natural hair getting where I want to be is definitely a challenge but with a support system and the help of wigs, I will get where I want to be shortly.
